The Community Alliance is a special group of volunteers who spread awareness of the Children’s Grief Center’s mission. Through social activities and events, the Community Alliance Committee partners with the members and businesses in the community to build new relationships and host fun fundraisers in the Albuquerque area. Members commit to 1-2 hours of monthly meetings and help with events as needed.
Attend a meeting and see what you think! We meet in the evenings at various breweries and coffee shops around Albuquerque and Rio Rancho to come up with ideas and make them happen! Examples of recent Community Alliance Events:
Brew Bees! Spelling bees for grown ups at Breweries – each brewery donates a $1 per beer sold during the event and contestants can make donations to respell words!
Rooftop Yoga! Attendees donate to CGC to participate in a professionally guided yoga class on the Albuquerque Banque Lofts roof.
Super Run! Community Alliance members staffed an information booth and supported runners to raise money for CGC.
